How to watch the County Championship in 2026

Many first-class counties publish match coverage through their own official websites or YouTube channels. Availability can vary by fixture, venue and broadcast agreement, so there is not always one stream for every match. Our current-stream page collects the county broadcasts that are available and lets you watch more than one at the same time.

The official competition name is the Rothesay County Championship. The 2026 season began on 3 April and is arranged in three blocks, with the final round beginning on 24 September. Each county plays 14 four-day, first-class matches.

Division One contains ten counties and Division Two contains eight. The bottom two teams in Division One are relegated and the top two in Division Two are promoted, so the live table becomes increasingly important during the final block.

County Championship matches run concurrently and the most interesting game can change quickly. A morning spell, declaration, fourth-innings chase or weather interruption can suddenly make another ground the place to watch. A multiview lets you keep several score pictures visible without repeatedly closing and reopening players.

For the cleanest setup, feature the match with the most important passage of play and keep two or three other streams visible. The division filter can narrow the view to streams tagged for Division One or Division Two when those tags are available.

On a phone, fewer simultaneous players will usually provide a clearer picture and use less data. Select the matches you care about rather than loading every available stream. On a desktop or large tablet, the equal grid is better suited to a full county-cricket matchday.

Autoplay and audio behaviour can also differ between browsers. Starting muted avoids several commentaries playing together; unmute only the match you want to hear.
